1st group of Aleppo thermal station, Tal Balat silo and 10 residential buildings put into service in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA- Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, put 1st group of Aleppo thermal station into service of 202 megawatts after its rehabilitation, to be added to 5th group previously placed in service, with a total of 404 megawatts for 2 groups.

The Primier noted in a statement to reporters after the inauguration that after President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to Aleppo and his participation in launching the work of the 5th group at the station, efforts were joined to prepare the 1st group and put it into service with a capacity of 202 megawatts according to the contract that was signed with the Iranian building company.

Arnous pointed out that that work is underway to rehabilitate the entire station as soon as possible.

In light of cooperation with the Iranian side to rehabilitate the station, Arnous noted that this project is part of the cooperation between the two countries, which includes all fields, especially that Iranian companies have the experience and will help the Syrian people.

The relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are strategic and meet the aspirations of the two peoples, Arnous added.

In turn, Director of the General Electricity Generation Company, Omar Brijan, stated that the 1st group that was put into service today was sabotaged by armed terrorist groups.

Brihan noted that it is part of the Aleppo Thermal Station, which is one of the largest electrical power generation stations with a capacity of 1000 megawatts for the Syrian network with a stable load.

The premier put Tal Balat silo in Aleppo countryside into service with capacity of 100 ,000 tons of grain after rehabilitation.

He also inaugurated 10 residential buildings in Aleppo City Council with more than 12 billion SP cost to be put into service in Masaken Hanano neighborhood.

Arnous also inaugurated the heritage building of the al-Tahan Hotel in the vicinity of the Aleppo Citadel, at a 4-star level that provides 200 job opportunities and is owned by Aleppo city council.
