Syria, Iraq discuss means of boosting bilateral relations

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faysal Mikdad discussed with the Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhibis al-Saadawi, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Minister of Transport, Zuhair Khuzim, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields, especially in the field of transport.

Minister Mikdad affirmed the significance of the strategic relations between both brotherly countries, which were strengthened after the visit of Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, to Damascus and his meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad.

He pointed out that the importance of upgrading the efforts exerted to reach the bilateral relations to the level that the two brotherly peoples aspire to, as well as facilitating the movement of people and goods, in away to increase the volume of intra- trade

For his part, aL-Saadawi underlined the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the Syrian and Iraqi sides at the various governmental levels.
