Damascus, SANA- Nine weak tremors with magnitudes ranging between 1.4 and 3 were recorded over the past 24 hours, the National Earthquake Center (NEC) announced on Sunday.
The center added in a statement that the stations of the National Seismological Network have registered fou4 quakes, two of which at distances of 5km and 6 km north of Hama central province, and 1.6 magnitude quake 23 km northwest of Lattakia, in addition to a 1.4 magnitude tremor 31 km west of Homs province.
According to the statement, two tremors with magnitudes of 2.2 and 2.3 2.3 were also recorded, in addition to three quakes in Turkey with magnitudes of 2.9, 3 and 2.2.
It noted that all the recorded quakes occurred at different depths that reached up to 23.1 km.
