Baku, SANA- The 7th International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport, MINEPS VII kicked off Monday in Baku city, Azerbaijan with participation of Syria.
The Syrian delegation comprises head of Physical Education and Sports Department at the Education Ministry, Dr. Abdul-Hami al-Zarir, and member of Executive Bureau of the General Sports, Firas al-Azab.
MINEPS VII which will last till June 29th is a global conference engaging governments, athletes, private sector, and other stakeholders to increase investment in sport, improve sport practices, foster quality physical education, and magnify the positive impact of sport on health, society and the economy. The conference will be a landmark occasion for sport ministers and other stakeholders to define the future of the sport-for-development ecosystem, culminating with the launch of the Fit for Life Alliance.
