Finance minister meets members of Syrian community in St. Petersburg

Moscow, SANA-, Minister of Finance, Dr. Kenan Yaghi, met with members of the Syrian community in St. Petersburg at the headquarters of the Honorary Consulate in the city, in the presence of Syria’s Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari.

The meeting came on the sidelines of Syria’s participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Minister Yaghi reviewed the difficulties facing the Syrian economy at the current stage and the horizon of cooperation with the people of the community to overcome these difficulties.

For his part Ambassador al-Jaafari stressed the need to solidarity that he noticed between the community members which is an example to follow in the love of the homeland and its people, voicing constant readiness to help and support all members of the community.

For their part, the Syrian community underlined the importance of periodic meetings, expressing their happiness with this meeting, which paves the way for new horizons of communication and cooperation.
