Syria participates in Valdai International Discussion Club meeting in Moscow

Moscow, SANA- The activities of the 12th Middle East Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club meeting, organized by the Valdai Club with the contribution of The Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, kicked off on Tuesday in Moscow under the title “The New Middle East and the Security Crisis in Europe,” with the participation of Syria, experts and personalities from numerous countries in the region, China, India and Europe and others.

The main topic of the conference this year involves discussing the impact of the European and global crises on developments in the Middle East and Russia’s relations with the countries of the region.

Strengthening dialogue and diversified cooperation with states of the Middle East and North Africa, as well as groups active in the region, is one of the unconditional strategic priorities of Russia’s foreign policy, Russia Today Channel (RT) quoted the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying in the Conference.
