Iraqi parliamentary delegation arrives in Syria

Damascus, SANA- An Iraqi parliamentary delegation arrived on Friday at Damascus International Airport to express solidarity with Syria after the devastating earthquake hit the country last Monday.

Iraq expresses full solidarity with the government and people of Syria, First Deputy Speaker of Iraqi Parliament, Mohsen al-Mandalawi said in a statement to SANA reporter.

Iraq offers deep condolences to families of victims of the devastating earthquake that claimed the lives of many innocent people, al-Mandalawi said.

“Syria is our second country, and it is our historical, cultural, geographical and security depth, Iraqi MP, Saud al-Saadi said, voicing sympathy with the Syrian people over this ordeal.
