WASHINGTON, SANA –4,000 unguided Zuni missiles will be supplied to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package, the US has announced.
“The United States will provide 4,000 Zuni unguided air-to-surface missiles to Kyiv which can also be mounted on helicopters,” Laura Cooper, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense was quoted by CNBC as saying.
“These are short-range air-to-ground missiles,” Cooper noted.
The Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, has recently confirmed that Washington does not want a political settlement for the Ukrainian crisis and does not take into account the serious consequences resulting from supplying the Kyiv regime with weapons.
