Syria, Algeria discuss boosting bilateral relations

Damascus, SANA- Speaker of People’s Assembly, Hammouda Sabbagh, stressed on Tuesday the deeply-rooted relations binding Syria and Algeria and the importance of joint work to enhance them at all levels.

Meeting with Hassan Tohamy, the Algerian Ambassador in Damascus, Sabbagh underlined the need to strengthen relations between both countries in the parliamentary domain in terms of intensifying visits and exchanging experiences in a way that achieves the common interest of the two peoples, and contributes to harmonizing positions at Arab, regional and international forums.

In turn, Tohamy noted that the victories achieved by the Syrian leadership, army and people in confronting terrorism “is a victory for all Arab countries” adding, “the Syrians have become an example to be followed in the whole world”.
