Russian forces shoot down 3 Ukrainian helicopters, destroy US-made rocket launchers

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry announced that the special operation to protect the residents of Donbass resulted, during the past 24 hours, in the killing of more than 100 personnel of the Ukrainian forces, and shooting down of 3 fighter jets, in addition to the destruction of many military targets, including US-made rocket launchers.

Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov said in a media briefing on Sunday that the Russian forces targeted a temporary center for the Ukrainian forces artillery units and an ammunition depot in Slavyansk city, asserting the Russian forces killed more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed more than 1,000 of US-made M777 Howitzers shells and about 700 shells of Grad rocket launchers.

Major Gen. Konashenkov pointed out that the Russian armed forces destroyed three headquarters of the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk Republic, human gatherings and military equipment in 16 regions.

Konashenkov added that tactical operational aviation, missile and artillery forces targeted 17 command headquarters, four Grad rocket-launcher systems, and two depots containing US-made M777 Howitzers.

According to Konashenkov, since the beginning of the special military operation, the Russian forces have sot down 242 attack aircrafts, 137 helicopters, 1,506 drones, and destroyed 353 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,995 tanks and other armored vehicles, in addition to destroying 741 rocket launchers, 3127of field mortars and 4,128 of special military vehicles affiliated to Ukrainian Armed Forces.
