A gang arrested for making and selling fake gold

Damascus, SANA – Criminal Security Department arrested a gang accused of making and selling fake gold bars in Damascus city, the Interior Ministry said Saturday.

The instruments and machines used in counterfeiting gold were confiscated, along with an amount of fake gold and SYP 2, 775 million, the Ministry noted in a statement on Saturday.

On January 19, the Ministry announced that a drug smuggler was arrested in Damascus Countryside and 20 kg of hashish was seized in his possession.
