Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad, received on Thursday a copy of credentials of Waheed Mubarak Sayyar as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Syria.
Mikdad stressed during his meeting with Sayyar, Syria’s keenness on the best relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and all Arab countries as well, and wished him success in performing his task in enhancing and strengthening relations between Syria and Bahrain.
Miqdad stated the need to solve all the intra-Arab disputes and consolidation to counter the common challenges.
In turn, Ambassador Sayyar stressed Bahrain’s keenness on enhancing relations with Syria and, and developing all-fields joint cooperation. And reiterated Bahrain’s support to Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity and as well as non-interference in Syria’s internal affairs.
Sayyar also stressed the importance of activating the signed mutual cooperation agreements and to promote these agreement and pacts to the highest levels, and said he is looking forward to hold meetings of the joint economic committee as soon as possible.
