Tartous, SANA –Minister of Tourism Bishr Yazagi called for encouraging popular tourism and starting to plan correctly for tourism season in Tartous province since the beginning of the current year.
Yazagi underlined the importance of focusing on various tourism activities that cover all tourist sites and all types of beach tourism.
Meeting representatives of governmental bodies concerned with tourism sector in the province, Yazagi said that the project of developing the waterfront in Tartous city will be considered a top priority by a workshop which will be held by the Ministry of Tourism.
He added that his ministry has agreed on investing al-Ahlam beach and Draikish Hotel by the Syrian Company for Transportation and Tourism.
Participants in the meeting reviewed a number of tourism projects which are being carried out in the province as they discussed the obstacles hindering some other projects.
