5 new Covid-19 cases, 20 fatalities reported in Syria

Damascus, SANA- Syria recorded on Tuesday five new coronavirus cases and 20 recoveries, according to a statement by Health Ministry.

The statement said that the overall number of infections registered in Syria has reached up to 55,723, of which 51,783 have recovered, while 3,145 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd ,2020 in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was registered on the 29th of the same month.
