Luhansk, SANA- The People’s Forces of the Luhansk Republic today shot down four Ukrainian planes, including two fighter jets.
“Two Ukrainian Su-24 fighter jets affiliated with the Ukrainian forces were downed in the vicinity of Smeloe and Stepovoe villages,” the Popular Forces were cited by Sputnik Agency as saying in a statement.
The Popular Forces added: “Two Turkish-made (Bayraktar TB2) attack drones were shot down near Shchastia town.”
Earlier, the forces of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics announced today the start of an attack on the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces along the line of contact in the Donbas region, after launching a special operation of the Russian forces to protect the residents of the region at the request of the two republics.
