Damascus, SANA- Syria renewed its condemnation of the unjust economic blockade imposed by the US on Cuba, which violates the international law and the most basic human rights, calling on the international community to end this economic terrorism, which constitutes an act of genocide.
“Syria condemns in the strongest terms the immoral, criminal economic blockade imposed by the US on Cuba for more than sixty years which aims at restricting the Cuban people’s legitimate rights in defending their country’s sovereignty and stability away from the US hegemony,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that Cuba, which is facing this illegal embargo, will maintain its sovereignty and will foil the goals of this blockade.
