Daraa, SANA- On the occasion of the glorious Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Daraa Tourism Directorate on Tuesday evening lit the Christmas tree in front of the commercial building of al-Warda al-Baydaa (white rose), Daraa city center.
Lighting the tree was accompanied by music played by the City League Ceremony Band of the Revolutionary Youth Union-Daraa Branch.
The participants in the event expressed joy at the approaching Christmas and New Year’s Eve, hoping that the coming year will be a good year and safety would to all Syrian lands.
This event is held on the occasion of Christmas and New Year’s Eve and it conveys a message that Syria is the cradle of love and peace, Director of Tourism Yasser al-Saadi said in a statement to SANA.
Daraa Governor, Louai Kharita and Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party- Daraa Branch Hussein al-Rifai attended the event.
