UNSC condemns Tripoli terrorist attacks

New York, SANA – The UN Security Council condemned on Sunday the twin terrorist bombings targeted a cafe in the northern city of Tripoli and killed nine people and wounded 37 others.

In the unanimous declaration, the Security Council’s 15 members said they were “outraged” by the attack Saturday and called for bringing the perpetrators to justice and asked countries to work with Lebanese authorities to that end.

The council asked “all Lebanese people to preserve national unity in the face of attempts to undermine the country’s stability.”

The twin terrorist attacks, occurred in the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood in northern city of Tripoli, resulted in the killing of 9 and injuring other tens. The terrorist organization “al-Nusra Front” claimed responsibility of the terrorist attack.
