Orthodox patriarchates demand revealing the fate of two kidnapped archbishops of Aleppo

Beirut, SANA- The Patriarchates of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox and Syriac Orthodox, called for revealing the fate of Archbishops Paul Yazji, Bishop of the Greek Orthodox of Aleppo, and the Syriac Orthodox archbishop of Aleppo, Yohanna Ibrahim, who were kidnapped by terrorist organizations.

The two patriarchates said in a joint statement on Thursday on the the 8th anniversary of their abduction that “until today, their cause remains a scar in the brow of truth and we put it before the local and international public opinion.” The statement stressed the need to uncover the whereabouts of the two patriarchs and hold the perpetrators accountable.
