New Delhi, SANA-Syrian journalist, Waiel Awwad, correspondent of SANA in India, gained “Marwah Studios international award for Excellence” in journalism, during a festival held via Internet last Saturday.
Awwad is among journalists who were honored within the ninth annual celebration along with a number of international journalists, directors and academics.
He has chaired the Foreign Journalists’ Club in South Asia twice and is the Honorary President of the Foreign Journalists Club.
Marwah Institute is considered as one of the top ten best film schools in the world and has trained more than 19,000 media professionals from 145 countries.
The institute is headed by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a prominent journalist who has achieved seven world records in his name and is the founder of Noida Film City and the Asian Academy of Film and Television.
