Damascus, SANA-Various forms of Arabic calligraphy harmonized to form 30 paintings displayed at the fourth exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, hosted by al-Assad Gallery of Fine Arts in Aleppo.
Supervisor of the exhibition, plastic artist, Ahmed Qassem, head of the Arabic Calligraphy Committee at the Directorate of Endowments in Aleppo, stressed the importance of the exhibition, which included works for 15 amateur calligraphers who underwent courses in Arabic calligraphy in addition to paintings and works of professional calligraphers in the city of Aleppo.
Mustafa Dahan, Head of the Guidance and Counseling Department at the Endowments Directorate, affirmed the importance of the exhibition in combining the Arabic language and the aesthetics of calligraphy within the framework of preserving the Arabic language, considering that these exhibitions provide an opportunity for a very large number of students to enhance their talents and express their adherence to their cultural heritage.
