Four explosive devices dismantled west of Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor, SANA – Members of engineering units of the Army and Armed Forces dismantled on Thursday four explosive devices in al-Bgheiliyeh village, 4 km to the west of Deir Ezzor city in northeastern Syria.

A source in the province told SANA reporter that two explosive devices, 20 kg each, were found in a bag that was left at a junction leading to the Private al-Jazeera University in al-Bgheiliyeh.

The two bombs were equipped with detonators and fixed to a battery so that they could be remotely detonated.

The other two explosive devices, 8 kg each and rigged for remote detonation, were found inside a barrel that was placed on the main road at the western entrance of the village, the source said.

Early last month, military engineering units dismantled a number of explosive devices that were attached to the doors and trunk of a Kia Rio car parked near a roundabout in al-Muwazafin
neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city.
