A 3.1 magnitude earthquake hits Syrian-Iraqi borders

Damascus, SANA- A light earthquake measuring 3.1 on Richter scale, and at a depth of 5 km hit on Tuesday the Syrian-Iraqi borders.

The National Center for Earthquakes, in a statement, said that the earthquake occurred at 00:18 am on Tuesday in area on the Syrian-Iraqi borders at a distance of 48 km southeast of Hasaka.

On December 22nd last year, an earthquake measuring 4.3 at Richter scale hit the area southwest of Idleb city.
