Hasaka, SANA – The Water General Establishment in Hasaka province has announced that maintenance teams on Sunday entered Alouk station with the aim of operating all the wells and guaranteeing a stable pumping of water to the locals.
Director of Hasaka Establishment, Mahoumed al-Okleh told SANA reporter that the maintenance teams entered the station to ensure the readiness of wells and to re-operate them after being stopped for seven days by the Turkish occupation forces who have prevented the workers of the establishment from entering the station.
He noted that 21 wells and 4 horizontal pumps have been operated, and water tanks are being filled in al-Himma area, adding that pumping water to Hasaka locals will start again on Sunday afternoon in neighborhoods of al-Nashwa al-Gharbyia, al-Sharia, and the youth housing compound.
It’s worth mentioning that the Turkish occupation forces have stopped the operation of Alouk station that feeds Hasaka city and the western countryside with water for the 18th time since its occupation of Ras al-Ayn city in November 2019.
