More than 24 thousand hectares cultivated with medicinal, aromatic crops in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA-The areas cultivated with medicinal and aromatic crops in Hasaka province for the current season have reached about 24,200 hectares distributed over various areas of agricultural stability.

Director of al-Hasaka Agriculture Department, Eng. Rajab Salameh, in a statement to SANA reporter on Thursday, said that the cultivated areas included 4,800 hectares of cumin, 15,700 hectares of coriander and 3,700 hectares of black seed, all concentrated in the first and second agricultural stabilization areas and in a part of the third one.

The total area cultivated with medicinal and aromatic crops in al-Hasaka province during the last season was estimated at 24,000 hectares.
