Homs, SANA-Activities of the “Touch of Hope” project, organized by the Literary Association Supervising the Orthodox orphanage in Homs, kicked off on Tuesday with a support by the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development in the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox.
The project, which was held in cooperation with the High Commission for Refugees, targets 52 orphan children who receive care and attention at the orphanage and aims to enhance their skills and develop their talents in drawing, music, computer and languages over a period of three months.
Father Malatius Shatti, Director General of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development, told SANA that the aim of the project is to support orphans, provide them with knowledge and develop their talents, stressing that the department will continue implementing development projects in cooperation with all efforts in society.
