Occupied Golan, SANA- Citizens of the occupied Syrian Golan have renewed their absolute rejection of the expansionist schemes of the Israeli occupation entity which seek to install huge wind turbines on their lands, affirming their adherence to the Syrian Arab identity.
In a statement on Tuesday, people of the Golan said “We in the occupied Syrian Golan reaffirm that we reject the installation of wind turbines on our lands which are owned by Syrian citizens under the Israeli occupation, and this occupation scheme aims to confiscate our lands and to destroy all the basic elements of survival and steadfastness on our Syrian territory in the occupied Golan.”
People of the Golan noted that what the Israeli occupation forces did yesterday of breaking into the agricultural lands of the people of the occupied Syrian Golan with the aim of installing those turbines was met with a wide popular anger.
The statement added “We doubtlessly affirm that the occupied Syrian Golan with all of its territory, inhabitants, air and water is an inseparable part of the Syrian Arab Republic which alone has the jurisdiction and legitimacy over the occupied Golan’s territories.”’
On Monday, the Israeli occupation troops closed a number of the main entrances of the villages in the occupied Syrian Golan and they prevented the locals from reaching their agricultural lands in the areas on which the occupation forces want to install huge wind turbines in a time when people of the occupied Golan gathered on the roads leading to their agricultural lands in the areas of Majdal Shams, Sheita, Baqaatha and Masada.
