Syria and Russia to enhance educational cooperation

Damascus, SANA- On the sidelines of the international conference on the return of refugees, Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, discussed on Thursday with the Russian Deputy Minister of Education, Dmitry Klushko, the development of educational relations between the two countries.

Minister Tabaa pointed out to the growing educational cooperation between the two countries through writing a series of Russian books to be taught in Syrian schools, referring to the role of the Ministry of Education in rehabilitating damaged schools and in areas liberated from terrorism.

He hoped the agreement signed between the two sides on Wednesday will enter into force, and that cooperation will not be limited to the Russian language only, but also it extends to various educational fields.

For his part, Klushko stressed the importance of building schools in order to facilitate the return of refugees to their country.
