Russia’s ambassador to Jordan: Upcoming conference of refugees in Damascus acquires a humanitarian feature

Moscow, SANA- Russian Ambassador to Jordan, Gleb Desiatnikov , affirmed that the international conference on refugees to be held this month in Damascus is gaining a purely humanitarian feature that aims to repatriate refugees to their homeland and has no other goals as some sides market with the aim of depriving  the conference from the required international support.

During an interview with Sputnik, the Russian Ambassador affirmed that the Syrian state is exerting best efforts to repatriate refugees to their country, and “urgently needs assistance in this regard from regional states and the international community in general.

He clarified that the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their homeland as soon as possible can be one of Moscow’s most important priorities for resolving the situation in Syria.
