Capitals, SANA-According to the American Worldometers Website, the novel coronavirus “COVID-19” pandemic has claimed the lives of more than a million and 205 thousand persons all over the world since its appearance last December.
The website, which tracks the global coronavirus outbreak, added that the number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has reached 46,804,745, while the death toll has amounted to 1,205,046, and the recoveries have reached up to 33,749,029.
The US remains on the top of the worst-hit countries in terms of infections and deaths as it recorded 236,471 deaths out of 9,473,911 infections while India comes in the second place with 122,642 deaths out of 8,229,322 infections, and then Brazil with 160,104 deaths out of 5,545,705 infections.
