Deir Ezzor, SANA- Process of marketing the cotton crop in Deir Ezzor province for the current season has started.
Director of cotton ginnery, eng. Saleh al-Hrmish said in a statement to SANA that the ginnery started on Sunday to receive cottons from farmers and weighing them in the steelyard balance after putting them in specified vehicles by General Organization for Ginning and Marketing Cotton.
Al-Harmish noted that the cooperation is held among all sides to ginner and market cottons in order to facilitate the operation of marketing.
In the same context, Director of Agricultural Directorate in Deir Ezzor, Eng. Mahmoud al-Hayeo pointed out that the cultivated area for the current season amounted to about 12,200 hectares, and the estimations of the production average per hectare of cotton in the province reached nearly 3,250kg. .
Deir Ezzor province marketed about 6,406 tons last year.
