Damascus, SANA- Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 23 new coronavirus cases were registered in Syria and 9 ones have recovered.
The Ministry said in a statement to SANA that the total number of infections registered in Syria reached 717 ones, of which 229 have recovered and 40 cases have passed away.
The first coronavirus infection was detected in Syria on March 22nd for a person coming from abroad while the first death was recorded on 29th of the same month.
