Imported production requirements from South Africa to be increased, Minister.

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Humam al-Jazaeri said Wednesday that increasing the amount of production requirements imported from South Africa is a priority to ensure energy carriers and enhance the duration of production process.

Meeting ambassador of South Africa in Damascus Shaun Byneveldt, the Minister pointed out the importance of opening direct communication channels between the Economy ministries in the both countries and specifying effective mechanism to develop the joint work in trade and investment field.

He also affirmed the need for acquiring tangible opportunities increase the economic and investment circle at the beginning of the next year, the minister added.

“Syria seeks to join to the Eurasian Union as a gate for accessing the middle Asian markets” the Minister added.

For his part, the Ambassador asserted his country’s willingness to activate the bilateral and multi- initiatives to develop the business and trade sector between the two countries as to establish joint investment projects in the interest of both countries.
