Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 4 to 7 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied with cold air mass.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be cloudy and rainy, heavy rain, accompanied with thunder, is expected on the coastal, al-Jazira and northern areas, snow also expected on the mountains.
The winds will be southwestern of moderate to high speed, while the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 13/06, Daraa 13/06, Homs 11/05, Hasaka 15/06 Lattakia 13/11, Aleppo 11/05 and Deir Ezzor 16/09.
Rain fell during the last 24 hours in some Syrian provinces, as the heaviest rainfall was 65mm in Hasaka, according to the rain bulletin of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.
The amounts of rain in some Syrian provinces are as follows: 20mm in Damascus, 22,5 in Sweida, 24mm in Daraa, 25mm in Quneitra, 42mm in Homs, 30mm in Hama, 30mm in Tartous and 64,5mm in Lattakia.
