Terrorists and their supporters target oil maritime pipeline networks to hinder production of petroleum derivatives

Damascus, SANA-Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources announced on Monday that terrorists, and the axis that supports them, re-targeted the oil sector in Syria through striking the maritime pipeline networks in Banyas port city by planting explosive devices via frogmen.

“The technical staff of the Ministry immediately started to evaluate the damages caused by that terrorist act to undertake the maintenance works and ensure the continuation of the oil productions,” the Ministry added.

The maritime pipeline networks in Banyas came under a terrorist sabotage act on June 23rd, 2019, causing oil leakage while many pipelines came out of service.
