A number of projects inaugurated in Lattakia

Lattakia, SANA Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Thursday inaugurated a number of service, development and industrial projects in Lattakia province.

Marking the 44th anniversary of the Correctionist Movement, Premier al-Halqi also laid the cornerstone for several other projects with a total value reached to SYP 24 billion.

Among the inaugurated projects was Tishreen University Hospital which he described as a “quantum leap on the medical level in Syria and the region.”

The hospital, which is worth SYP 18 billion, is equipped with up-to-date equipment and will provide an array of health services to citizens.

“We are here to get in touch with the locals of Lattakia and address their needs,” the Premier said, considering the inauguration of projects amid the war waged against Syria “another proof of the vitality of the Syrian people.”

Later on, al-Halqi visited the tomb of the late President Hafez al-Assad in al-Qurdaha.

“President Hafez al-Assad has passed away in body but his soul lives on…He is the builder of modern Syria, a figure who inspires steadfastness and resistance, ” al-Halqi said.

He added that Syria, under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, is a continuation of a glorious past in which victories continue to roll on.
