Damascus, SANA- 38 Arab and foreign countries confirmed participation in the 61th edition of Damascus International Fair.
The reserved spaces in the fair exceeded 100,000 thousand square meters.
Director General of the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets (OIEM), Ghassan Fakyani said in a statement to SANA on Thursday that the fair will witness a remarkable distinction this year in terms of international participations , reserved spaces, exhibits , and participating sectors.
Six days ahead of the launching the fair , the final touches have been put, and all the necessary arrangements have been taken, including lighting up , sign boards, and providing a parking that accommodates 10 thousand cars, according to Fakyani.
Fakyani said that the opening of the Fair will be on August 28th and it will be limited to the opening ceremony and the private invitations only while it will be opened for all visitors on August 29th .
Local Administration and Environment Ministry has put 150 buses in service for transporting the visitors from Damascus and Damascus Countryside to the Fairgrounds City free of charge.
The 61st edition of Damascus International Fair, which will be held under the slogan “From Syria to the World” embodies Syria’s prosperity towards construction after the successive victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.
