Hasaka/Raqqa, SANA – The US-backed Qasad (SDF) militias continue to carry out oppressive actions against the people of Hasaka and Raqqa provinces, raiding several houses and detaining a number of civilians in several towns and villages.
Local and media sources said that dozens of heavily-armed Qasad members detained two civilians in al-Shadadi town in Hasaka’s southern countryside on Friday evening and took them to an undisclosed location, causing panic among locals by firing their weapons arbitrarily.
In Raqqa, Qasad members raided several houses in the town of al-Karama in the province’s northern countryside, while other members detained eight youths in the town of Ein Issa and at the entrance of al-Tabaqa town to forcibly recruit them, while others detained one person in Raqqa city after raiding his house.
In addition, Qasad militias cut off irrigation water in Tishreen farm in Raqqa’s northern countryside to force farmers to pay “irrigation fees.”
