Lattakia, SANA_ Internal transport buses in the coastal city of Lattakia,  the main traffic artery in the city, have been transformed into a platform for theater, musical and cinematic performances, an artistic and cultural experience called the Cultural Bus Festival.

The Cultural Bus Festival is organized by the Arab House of Music and Arts in cooperation with  Ministry of Culture and Lattakia governorate on the occasion of the International day of music.

More than 40 participants, including musicians, singers and theater actors recently participated in the festival and performed their shows onboard of five buses. Three of the buses presented music and singing, one made theatre performances and the last made short films for young filmmakers, produced by the General Establishment for Cinema.

The celebration came within the framework of the search for alternative theater and the provision of new platforms for the musical and theatrical performances, according to Director of the Arab House of Music Yasser Dribati.

Through the festival,  Dribati added, we wanted to expand the geography of the art in general: theatre, cinema, music , singing etc., by creating new platforms and new theatre experiences.

Director of Cultural Centers at the Ministry of Culture, Hamoud al-Mousa, considered  that the festival is a new experience  and an important initiative that should be carried out in other provinces and cities.
