Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed on Wednesday with Foreign Minister of the Turkish regime Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu the situation in Syria.
“The two sides discussed, in a telephone call, the importance of coordinating efforts to implement the de-escalation zone agreement in Idleb and combating the danger of terrorism, based on the respect for Syria sovereignty and territorial integrity,” a statement by the Russian foreign Ministry said.
It added that both sides underlined joint determination to continue work within Astana process to activate the political settlement in light of UN resolution 2254 and the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue congress of Sochi.
