Low air pressure to recede gradually starting from western areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will gradually rise, yet they will remain from 3 to 10 degrees below average as the country is affected by a weak low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.

Over the past 24 hours, different mounts of rainfalls were registered in several Syrian provinces, the biggest of which was registered in Homs 45mm, while snow fell over the mountains.

Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the low pressure will recede gradually starting from the western areas while rains are expected to fall over the eastern and al-Jazeera regions, and the coastal mountains.

The weather will be cold in general and frost is expected over the mountains and fog is expected in some inland areas.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with active gusts and its speed will exceed 50 km per hour sometimes while the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

Tomorrow, temperatures will continue to rise, yet they will remain below average and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13-6, Daraa 13-6, Homs 12-7, Lattakia 18-10, Aleppo 13-6 and Deir Ezzor 17-8.
