Baghdad, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh on Sunday met Head of the Iraqi General Federation of Peasants Associations Hassan al-Tamimi at his residence in Baghdad along with members of the Federation’s Executive Bureau.
Sabbagh, during the meeting, hailed the stances of the Iraqi peasants in support of the Syrian people in their historic battel against terrorism.
For his part, al-Tamimi reiterated support of the Iraqi peasants to Syria, affirming that it embodies the brotherly relations between the Syrian and Iraqi peoples.
“The battle of Syria and Iraq against terrorism is the same battle against the same enemy, “al-Tamimi said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Baghdad.
