Beloved Syria…An International artistic project by Syrian musician

Madrid, SANA- Syrian musician Nahel al-Halabi launched an international artistic project under the title “Beloved Syria” in which he used music to translate the suffering of the Syrians throughout the terrorist war waged against their country .

Al-Halabi, in a statement to SANA, indicated that his project has humanitarian goals as it is based on a dancing theatrical performance that narrates real Syrian stories, particularly about the children who faced the war and terrorism.

He indicated that some of the heroes of these stories are still alive and they have a common denominator which is represented in their clinging to hope, life and peace.

The show uses music as a main language interspersed with the narration language used during the scenes in the language of the hosting country, al-Halabi noted, adding that the show is translated into four languages which are Arabic, English, French and Italian and there will be other translated versions in other languages.

The project embraces a number of musical pieces with different titles, and it seeks to address the nations of the world and to convey an image on the reality of the suffering of the Syrians due to the terrorist war waged against their country.

He added that the project which was launched from the Italian city of Mantua, is supported by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and a number of the international institutions working in the humanitarian, cultural and developmental domains.

The project has been performed on different European theatres and occasions and it has received a wide public attention.

The project, according to al-Halabi, is distinguished by its ability to address different cultural, social segments and it is expected that the project plan will become an approach that can be applied in different international humanitarian issues.
