Polar low pressure to retreat, ice over high mountains

Damascus, SANA – The temperatures will remain below average by 2 to 5 degrees in most areas, as the country is being affected by an polar low pressure system, accompanied by a wet and cold air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general with a chance of scattered rain showers over different areas, warning against the formation of ice on mountains and fog and frost in some inland areas at night. The wind will be western to southwestern, while the altitude of sea waves is light to moderate.
