Cuban ambassador visits Martyrs’ Cemetery in Damascus countryside

Damascus countryside, SANA-Cuban ambassador in Damascus Miguel Porto Parga and members of the Cuban embassy in Damascus visited the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Najha in Damascus countryside, in honor of the Cuban and Syrian martyrs who passed away during the October Liberation War.

The visit coincides with the Day of the Cuban Armed Forces which falls on December 2nd.

For his part, military commander of the southern region hailed the “solid relation binding Syria and Cuba, champions of the liberation movement in the world,” adding that Cuba has supported Syria against the fierce colonial campaign against it, sending in 2014 a medical team to treat the wounded Syrian army personnel.
