Damascus, SANA-Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Mohammad al-Shaar underscored the Syrian people’s ability to confront and uproot terrorism and build their country, voicing trust in Syria’s inevitable victory over the takfiri project.
Al-Shaar’s comments came during his meeting on Monday with a delegation from the Call of Tunisia Party currently visiting Syria.
Syria has made big strides in combating terrorism despite sustained support provided to terrorists, he said, indicating that terrorism that threatens Syria, Tunisia and the entire region is one and the same.
The minister hailed the stances of the Tunisian party, stressing the importance of cooperation between parties in Syria and Tunisia.
Head of the delegation Mohammad al-Azhar al-Ekremi expressed support to Syria against terrorism, noting that the Tunisian people now realize the scope and dimensions of the conspiracy targeting Syria.
Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal, for his part, met with the delegation, discussing with them developments on the Arab arena and the role of national parties in realizing the aspirations of the Arab nation.
He hailed the national awareness of the Tunisian people as made clear by the Tunisian delegations who have been visiting Syria since the start of the crisis.
