3rd Industrial Conference calls for developing national industry

Aleppo, SANA- Concluding its activities in Aleppo on Monday evening, the 3rd Industrial Conference called for taking a bunch of measures for developing the national industry through rehabilitating the Vocational and Technical Training Center which is affiliated to the Ministry of Industry.

The conference, which was held in presence of Prime Minister Imad Khamis and a number of ministers, also called for completing the rehabilitation of power plants and networks in the industrial zones and complexes.

It also called for encouraging the use of alternative energies through granting incentives and exemptions for the facilities which use alternative energy.

The concluding statement of the conference also recommended the establishment of an industrial development council and the adoption of a strategic plan for upgrading it, in addition to establishing the Industrial Modernization Center to develop the industrial sectors.

Completing the plan of the reconstruction of the industrial cities and the zones was also one of the recommendations of the concluding session.

With regard to the financial and banking sector, participants in the conference underlined the necessity of rehabilitating the Free Zone in Aleppo and circulating customs certificates through electronic means.
