Monday weather: Temperatures below average, heavy rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a wet air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy as heavy rains accompanied by thunder sometimes are expected to fall over the eastern and al-Badyia (desert) areas.

The wind will be easterly to southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Tomorrow, temperatures will slightly rise to become around average and the skies will be partly cloudy as rain showers are expected to fall over different areas across the country.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 18-12, Daraa 19-10, Homs 22-9, Lattakia 19-15, Aleppo 18-12  and Deir Ezzor 19-13.
