Moscow, SANA – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reaffirmed the necessity of reaching a political solution for the crisis in Syria in a way that preserves its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
In a speech before at the Russian Federation Council, el-Sisi noted the importance of pushing forward the process of reaching a political settlement of the crisis in Syria in a way that preserves its unity and the safety of its institutions and fulfills the aspirations of its people.
He also stressed the need to combat terrorism, which represents a serious threat to the security of the region and the whole world, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard by settling disputes and dealing with those who support terrorism.
