Homs, SANA-Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal offered condolences to the families of martyrs and wounded citizens in the two terrorist explosions that hit Homs on Wednesday.
Two terrorist bombings hit an area near a school compound in Ikrima neighborhood in Homs city as children were leaving school, leaving 33 dead and more than 115 wounded, mostly children.
Al-Hilal inspected the site of the two explosions and the volume of damages, meeting the teaching staff and visiting the wounded in the hospitals of al-Zae’em, al-Razi and al-Nahda.
“What we saw toady of heinous crimes against innocent children reflects the cowardice of the terrorists who have sought to kill science,” al-Hilal said, describing the crime as “a double crime” which targeted children and their scientific centers.
He affirmed that what he has seen of determination of children, families and the teaching staff assert that the Syrian people will never be defeated.
